How do I know what size wig to order?

There are three measurements to take in order to determine your approximate wig size. Circumference, front-to-back and ear-to-ear. It’s important to take this measurements accurately as even the slightest misplacement can result in the wrong number.

CIRCUMFERENCE: Place the measuring tape at your hairline (where your wig will sit on your forehead) and wrap it around your head passing over the nape and ending in the same place you started on your forehead. 21” is (P) petite, 21.25” is (P/A) petite/average, 21.5” is (A) average, 22.25” is average/large and 23” is (L) large.

FRONT-TO-BACK: Start the measuring tape at the top of your hairline and draw it straight back over your crown ending at your nape. 13.25” is (P) petite, 13.75” is (P/A) petite/average, 14.25” is (A) average, 14.75” is average/large and 15.5” is (L) large.

EAR-TO-EAR: Place the measuring tape above one ear and draw it over your crown and down to the other ear. To help ensure you cross over your crown, measure 7” back from your hairline. That is the point you cross the tape over when measuring from ear to ear. 13” is (P) petite, 13.25” is (P/A) petite/average, 13.5” is (A) average, 13.75” is average/large and 14” is (L) large.

What if I don’t like the color/style when it arrives?

It is nearly impossible to convey exact the exact color on a computer screen but we realize it may be your only choice if you don’t have a nearby wig shop to visit. And you never really know how a wig is going to look on YOU unless you actually put it on. Why is there such a huge price difference between hairpieces?

The price of a wig or other hairpiece is determined by the type of hair fiber and by how it is constructed. A wig with basic construction will be less expensive than a wig with at least one feature. The features that result in a more realistic hairpiece are: lace front, monofilament and hand-tied cap. The saying “you get what you pay for” very much applies here.

What products do I need to go along with my wig?

Traditional Synthetic: MUST HAVE items are synthetic shampoo, synthetic conditioning spray, detangler (if mid to long length hair), a plastic wig stand and a wide tooth comb. Optional items are a paddle brush, hairspray, styling cream and a shine spray.

Heat Defiant (HD) Synthetic: MUST HAVE items are synthetic shampoo, synthetic conditioning spray, detangler (if mid to long length hair), plastic wig stand, a wide tooth comb and Heat Treat Thermal Spray for protection when heat styling. Optional items are a canvas head and suction stand or clamp for easy off-head styling, hairspray, styling cream, shine spray. DO NOT use anything other than our wide tooth comb or your fingers to comb your HD hairpiece.

Human Hair/HD Blend: MUST HAVE items are synthetic shampoo, synthetic conditioning spray, detangler (if mid to long length hair), a plastic wig stand, wide tooth comb and Heat Treat Thermal Spray for protection when heat styling. Optional items are a canvas head and suction stand or clamp for easy off-head styling, hairspray, styling cream and shine spray.

Human Hair: MUST HAVE items are human hair shampoo, human hair conditioner, Blown Away Blow Dry Balm, Smooth Treatment Mist, Heat Treat Thermal Spray, a plastic wig stand and a wide tooth comb. Optional items are a paddle brush, round brush, canvas head and suction stand or clamp for easy off-head styling, hairspray and styling cream.

DO NOT USE ANY REGULAR HAIR PRODUCTS ON YOUR HAIRPIECES. No matter the fiber type, all hairpieces require special products specifically formulated for alternative hair.
